Number of channels
From two to five channels, depending on the width and how far the panels need to stack.
Made-to-measure window treatments
Made-to-measure panel blinds
Panel blinds, sometimes called Japanese panels, are flat lengths of fabric that slide past each other on a multi-channel track. They give a calm, architectural look and are ideal for large windows and sliding doors.
Why choose panel blinds?
Because the panels stay flat, the fabric really shows. You can combine light-filtering and blackout panels, or use them as a soft room divider between kitchen and sitting area.
- Calm, crisp lines
- Ideal for wide windows and sliding doors
- Also works as a room divider
- Combine light-filtering and blackout panels
Versions and options
When drawn back, panel blinds take up roughly the width of one panel. Allow for that with a sliding door, so the panels stay beside the opening.

Questions about panel blinds
What is the difference between panel blinds and vertical blinds?
Panel blinds are wide, flat lengths of fabric that slide aside. Vertical blinds are narrow vanes you can also rotate to control the light. Panels look calmer; verticals control the light more precisely.
