Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including with a screen reader, using only a keyboard or on a small screen.
Our goal
The website has been designed and built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
What we do
- A clear structure with one main heading per page, logical subheadings and recognisable regions (menu, content, footer).
- A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page, and a visible focus indicator for keyboard users.
- Sufficient colour contrast: our gold has been darkened for text so it reaches at least 4.5:1.
- Descriptive alt text for photos; decorative drawings are skipped by screen readers.
- Forms with labels, instructions and error messages placed at the right field and read aloud.
- Touch targets of at least 24 by 24 pixels and a site that works from 320 pixels wide up to large screens.
- Animations that stop if you have set “reduce motion”, and text that is always visible, even without JavaScript.
What is not yet perfect
- The 360° tour of the shop comes from Matterport and is not fully accessible with a screen reader or keyboard. Everything you see in the tour is also described in text on the website.
- We have no control over the reviews that come from Google: we show them as they were written.
